Camillo Zuccoli was born in Iseo (Brescia), on 17 July 1957.

After the High School and the Faculty of Law, in the VII Legislature (1976-1979) became private secretary to the Hon. Prof. Emilio Trabucchi (Member of the Legislature III and VII) and the Hon. Gen. of the Carabineers Bruno Stegagnini (Member of the Legislature VII to X).

In September 1979 has visited Taiwan for the first time and, in February 1980, was among the founders of the Association for Friendship and Cultural and Economic Relations between Italy and the Republic of China in Taiwan, of which he became Secretary General.

In May 1994 he was one of the promoters and the Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group between Italy and Taiwan.

In 1979 he was among the founders of the Italian Committee "Reagan for President".

In 1986 he was elected in Brussels Deputy Secretary General of the European People’s Party with a unanimous vote by open ballot, by the Political Bureau of the European People's Party (Chairman Hon. Jacques Santer, Prime Minister of Luxembourg).

He is re-elected in 1990 (President Hon. Wilfried Martens, Prime Minister of Belgium) with a unanimous vote by secret ballot.

From 1986 to 1993 he was assistant of Hon. Emilio Colombo, President of European Christian Democrat Union and former Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Subsequently, in the XIII Legislature, he became Head of the Political Secretariat of Hon. Gustavo Selva, President of the Parliamentary Group of the National Alliance in the Chamber of Deputies.

Function that has continued to play, from 2001 to 2006, always with the Hon. Selva, President of the Commission of Foreign Affairs of the Chamber of Deputies. At the same time, in the XIV Legislature, he was Head of the Political Secretariat of Hon. Alberto di Luca, President of the Schengen-Europol-Immigration Bicameral Commission.

From March 2005 to January 2007 he was Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Sofia.

Since 26 January 2007 he is the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to the Republic of Bulgaria.

Since 2012 he is Professor to the State University of Library Studies and Information Technologies in Sofia.

In 2004 he was accepted into the Sovereign Military Order of Malta as a Knight of Magistral Grace "motu proprio" of M.E.H. the Prince and Grand Master Frà Andrew Bertie.

2003: Commander of the "Order pro Merito Melitensi" of the Sovereign Order of Malta.

Knight of Merit with "Placa de Plata" of the "Constantinian Order of Saint George" conferred by H.R.H. Prince Don Carlos of Bourbon Duke of Calabria, Infant of Spain.

2005: Knight of Grand Cross of the '"Order of the Brilliant Star" of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

2006: Medal of Honour of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.

2012: Knight of Grand Cross of the "Order pro Merito Melitensi" of the Sovereign Order of Malta.

2014: Star of the "Golden Age" of the Ministry of Culture of Republic of Bulgaria.

Commander with Plate of the Order of "San Gregorio Magno" of the Holy See.

2017: Stara Planina, first class, of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Grand Crossof Magisterial Grace of the Sovereign Order of Malta.
